What a plonker

I know, I know. It's been over a year since our little gem's last update, so here's a bit of a catch-up.
It seems Alyssa's been walking her whole life now, it's only been about five months, but the continual running around after her makes it seem much longer! I can barely remember some of her younger months, she's come on so damn fast.
At fourteen months she's already been thrown into the 18 months+ group with the bigger kids at nursery and the staff there absolutely adore her.
We're also up to the trying to talk stage, and the ever-clearer "Hiya"s are so cute. With a bit of luck we'll get a nice "Mummy" from her soon to match the "Daddeeee" we got a few weeks back.
Other than that there's just far too much to catch up with in one post, so I'll leave you with a shot of her off for a stroll around the garden with Grandad Giles.

One month!

Alyssa was one month old on Wednesday, so we all went out to Pizza Hut for tea. True to form, baby stole the show with everyone we went past looking into the pram and going "Awww!" at the little pink bundle. Mummy even made the bold move of breast feeding in public for the first time.
There's not really much more to tell, except Alyssa's perfected the art of driving mummy up the wall while daddy's at work, and even griped and grizzled through a roast at her grandparents.
So, with a pile of nappys and loads of puke, she's a proper, healthy little girl.

Two weeks

Baby Alyssa's a fortnight old now, so what's new?
Well, she's had her first cold, become an expert at keeping Mummy awake at night while doing the full "butter wouldn't melt" cutesy act throughout the day time, her favourite sleeping place is on a pillow on the couch with Mummy and Daddy, closely followed by the passenger seat of Mummy's Mini - provided the engine's running.
She now has considerably more clothes than Mummy and Daddy put together, and more appearing all the time - they're even coming in the post!

Tonight is her fisrt Minifinity meet too - and with so many new people to meet it's just as well it's a no-smoking pub so she can go! Apparently she can't wait to see all the Minis, so it should be a good night for her.

A new arrival

Well, what better way to start our blog by welcoming to the world our beautiful baby daughter Alyssa Jasmine.
Born at 1:18pm on the 7th February 2007 she weighed 8lb 110z, with dark spiky hair and the most lovely proportions.
Mummy was extremely brave during the whole labour and did everything herself with minimal intervention from the midwives.

Parents, Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles are all very proud of her and we can't wait to show her the world.
